@owlcu I’m not saying it’s the same, but I can identify because of ADHD. We seem just normal enough…but inside it’s another matter…

@tubeinfoboy123 look, i know that sometimes that we aspies…we dont like the fact that we have this brain differentiation to everyone and we all wish we have had a normal mind. but think of it like this…would a normal brain make us truly better? we are shunned away as if we are freaks, culled as we are cattle. and we want so bad to be them? if we had normal brains, we could have been as bad as them.

    @lendmeurears You’re just like me.

@BadTasteInCinema i have aspergers it sucks i wish i could have a normal life but its not fair that people with AS get denied a life they wished they had but cant its not fair i want to get married have children be sucsessful ETC but some people label us as retards and all that when a lot of us are smart and intelligent but some people dont realise that cause there to blind to see.

  5. BadTasteInCinema says:

I have aspergers and it sucks, for four years I have had next to no friends, I see my mates maybe once every 3 months, I’m very negative and I very much fear social interaction.
The guy speaking about being almost “normal” is right, I never fit in, well I don’t think I do and all I have to say about my self is I’m a very shy, lonely and focused person, if I like something then I will obsess over it, very deeply.
I understand why people feel like outcasts because WE ARE OUTCASTS
    we aren’t normal.

I have AS and have truely never expirenced lonliness. Maybe it’s because I had a ton of pets and was so busy playing with to notice I was supposed to be lonely. If another child approached me to play and wouldn’t leave me alone I would attack them. I didn’t want “friends”.

  7. lendmeurears says:

I don’t have aspergers and have a few friends, but I still feel lonely… I don’t go to parties because I always think people dont like me or something. I have this negative voice in my head. Don’t get me wrong, I know I can be very sociable and people usually like me and want to hang around me, but I always make up excuses to avoid social situations. I don’t know why I’m this way, so critical of my self and over analyze situations.. I am slowly working through my issues though and its working.

I also have aspergers and I am about to graduate from high school. Up until I entered high school, I was satisfied with being alone. But now that I have made a few friends, I am afraid to be alone again.

@XxLemonsRevenge as I have AS I have been told that there are so many differences, part of what you write is true but we sometimes don’t know what others are thinking about us. Good point Lemons.

  11. XxLemonsRevenge says:

i have asperges and im nowhere near as worse as him sometimes i think if im annoying people or wonder if people accually like me!

  12. Trex2788 says:

When I’m in a new school class, it doesn’t take much time so that the others can communicate as if they would know each others for years.
It’s an unexplained phenomenon to me, I really don’t get how they do it.

@BogMonkey53: I think the same way. I enjoy beeing alone. I really don’t know why people stress themself caring about loneliness that much. It’s just a burden.

I remember getting diagnosed with A.S at the age of 9 and now I’m 19 and I often wonder if other people have actual emotions

  14. 90Randyboy says:

I was diagnosed with aspergers when I was 9, and now I’m 19 going on 20 and I find certain social interactions hard such as chatting up girls that is certainly not one of my strongest points as my self esteem is quite low

  15. nxer says:

@VeyaMusic you really think so? he’s not dying. he has a family that loves him. he has intelligence and a heart (despite popular beliefs towards autism,) just lacking some ability to connect with others and not even in the worst way possible.

  16. nxer says:

@Ilovecats112233 they drink and party and act rashly :-P Betwixt work and home…sometimes they bring friends home with them for a party. I don’t know what they talk about though. I think usually pop-culture stuff. “Normal” people tend to be more inclined towards pop-culture and trends.

I dont have this disease but I have no need for people or relationships in my life, I enjoy my isolated life, Sure I have people I work with but I dont consider them friends just people I have to deal with on a daily basis, My enjoyment is coming home to peace and tranquility, no 1 to answer to, I guess I,m weird or eccentric but I really have no feelings about what others think of me,,,,

I was diagnosed with A.S. when I was 7 years old. I feel that I connect better with other humans through being one with Earth.

I was diagnosed with A.S. when I was 7 years old. I found my way through connecting with the Earth. I recommend that people who find themselves suffering from A.S. should take the time to stand still on the ground and thoroughly feel it. You will feel the wholeness and see how we are all connected. Be glad that we have the Earth. I feel that I connect better with other humans through being one with Earth.

  21. RealTime88 says:

I have AS. What do you want to know about my experience?

  22. BogMonkey53 says:

Loniliness? According to the psychiatrists I’m autistic but I’m completely immune to loneliness. I love being alone. This is the bullshit that makes life hard for people on the spectrum. They assume if you’re alone theres something wrong with you and with the best of intentions they put stress on us by trying to get us out of our solitude.
